Provide expert medical and public health policy recommendations to APC leadership at all levels of governance.
Recognizing the critical role of healthcare professionals in national development and in furtherance of the vision and values of the All Progressives Congress (APC), these byelaws are enacted to guide the structure, operations and responsibilities of the APC Medical Council. The Council serves as a unifying platform for licensed medical professionals committed to the advancement of public health and the progressive ideals of the APC.
The institute is a policy advisory and capacity-building organisation; facilitates and advises on policy issues with the aim of stimulating the formulation and implementation of innovative African policies for the achievement of socio-economic development and credible governance in the continent.

This organization shall be known as the All Progressives Congress (APC) Medical Council, hereinafter referred to as "the Council."
The Council is hereby established as a professional, policy-advisory and medical professionals mobilization organ of the All Progressives Congress (APC), operating under the auspices of the APC National Working Committee (NWC).

To provide strategic medical policy guidance, mobilize healthcare professionals, and promote ethical, equitable, accessible and affordable health and social care governance in alignment with the progressive agenda of the APC.
Provide expert medical and public health policy recommendations to APC leadership at all levels of governance.
Support the design, articulation and implementation of progressive healthcare policies consistent with APC vision and ideology.
Mobilize and coordinate medical professionals in support of APC electoral, developmental and humanitarian initiatives.
Convene an annual National Health Policy Conference and Roundtable to review health sector reforms and provide actionable recommendations.
Organize quarterly virtual health policy engagements to assess APC health sector scorecards and strengthen implementation plans.
Facilitate outreach, professional development, public health education, and uphold ethics and internal discipline among members.

Membership is open to all licensed and qualified healthcare professionals including medical doctors, nurses, pharmacists, laboratory scientists and allied practitioners who are APC members and in good standing with their regulatory bodies.
